Josh Homme beat cancer: New interview reveals details

Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme has revealed for the first time that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2022. The operations to remove the diseased tissue were successful. The almost 50-year-old is currently recovering from it. The conversation in which he told more about it, he conducted with the magazine “Revolver”. It was also his first in-depth interview since COVID-19, the end of his marriage and the custody battle over his three children.

Although the operation was successful, Homme still struggles with occasional pain. He narrated “Revolver” in the Interview from April:

“I never say it can’t get worse. I never say that, and I wouldn’t advise it. But I say it can get better. Cancer is just the icing on the cake of an interesting period of time, you know? I’m very thankful that I’m going to get through this and I’ll look back on that time as something that sucked – but made me better. I can live with that. There’s a lot of things I want to do. And there are a lot of people I want to do that with.” Homme didn’t say what kind of cancer it was.
