Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has been embroiled in a custody battle with his ex-wife, Australian singer Brody Dalle, for several years. She filed for divorce in 2019 after Homme allegedly became violent towards her under the influence of alcohol. With a current statement, the 49-year-old now wants to “end questions and speculation and restore the family’s deserved privacy”.

He says he has obtained an extensive restraining order against Dalle’s current partner Gunner Foxx, which forbids him from approaching his two sons with Dalle, their daughter and his father. He also states that the restraining order requests filed by those sons in 2021 were not filled out by them, but by Foxx. That forged Dalles signature. The court had not granted the motions, unlike one following his daughter. The boys were five and ten years old at the time.

It is not the first restraining order in the confusing dispute, in the middle of which Foxx often finds himself. In December 2021, Homme is said to have insulted him and threatened to kill him. Dalle had obtained the first order against her ex-husband shortly after the violent assault in 2019. She, in turn, had to do community service in September 2021 after failing to place one of her sons in his father’s care in time for the agreed handover.

A family court in Los Angeles then, according to his own statements, gave him provisional custody in March 2022. However, another hearing about its final distribution will follow.
