New series Longing for the country – home from the village school introduces viewers to an adorable couple. Even after nine years together Ninni Stenberg and Raphael Donner are like newly fallen in love.
Ninni and Rafael, aka Rudde, have won the old national school building at the auction. Ekkulla is located in Mustio. The couple plans to renovate the school into a home where they will dance after the wedding in a year. There is a lot to do before that. The ground floor has 260 square meters, in addition to which a party room will be put in the attic. There is also an outbuilding, a sauna and a small shed in the yard.

Neither of them really have renovation experience, if you don’t count a small surface renovation. Ninni has never even lived in the country where Rafael comes from. He lived with his father Jörn Donner’shis mother Bitte Westerlund and Daniel-with his brother in a house that was 20 kilometers from the nearest grocery store. There were hardly any neighbors.
The main focus of the series is on renovation, but the famous father also appears in the opening episode. In January 2020, the late Jörn Donner bequeathed money to his child, thanks to which the purchase was made.
– My father died some time ago and I received an inheritance. We can both afford this, Rafael says in the series.

In addition to rihikiwa, of course, something else is needed. Migrating fits in well with the couple’s values. At the same time, Rafael considers himself foolhardy enough to take on a huge project, the extent of which is slowly but surely revealed.
