It was a disappointing day for the Dutch men in Salt Lake City. Jenning de Boo was the fastest Dutchman in the 500 meters with the tenth fastest time, while Kjeld Nuis had the fifth fastest time in the 1500 meters. Jordan Stolz was the fastest at both distances. Femke Kok was impressive earlier in the evening.
