Jonas Sjögren becomes the new CEO

The Swedish outdoor outfitter Primus-Silva Sweden AB is getting a new boss.

On Thursday, the company announced the appointment of Jonas Sjögren as its new CEO. Sjögren, who ran the Swedish cycling outfitter POC until last fall and previously worked in the media industry, will take up his new post on April 8, Primus-Silva said.

He succeeds Richard Jägrud, who will leave the company at the end of April. He has since been introduced as CEO designate by the Swedish knife manufacturer Morakniv AB.

Jägrud had been at the helm of the company since September 2016, which at the time was still called Silva Sweden AB. After taking over Primus, he “led the merger of the two companies to form Primus-Silva” last year, according to a statement.
