Hardly anyone has seen it, but still it was the opening news of Shownieuws last night: some random message on Facebook in which 70-year-old Joke Bruijs was declared dead. Just let it bleed to death, you would think (that message on Facebook), but Shownieuws is going big with it.
Very rumored
Tooske Ragas with an extremely concerned face: “We start with a very bad rumor that we really want to get rid of the world.”
Colleague Evert Sankrediets said: “Yes, a rumor that shocked us all tonight and fortunately it is not true. Joke Bruijs would have died according to a message on Facebook, but her management says that fortunately nothing is wrong with her.”
‘She’s still alive’
Joke is still alive. “It is indeed a very annoying story and Joke himself was suddenly overwhelmed with messages and worried phone calls to that management,” says Evert.
He continues: “They have asked us to state very emphatically here that Joke is seventy and hopes to have many more happy years to stick to it.”
