Knoxville was married to Melanie Lynn Cates, who appeared in several Jackass productions, from 1995 to 2008. In 1996 they had a daughter. In 2010, Knoxville married again, to Naomi Nelson, with whom he had two children. In 2022, Knoxville filed for divorce from Nelson.
