The Russian invasion of neighboring Ukraine dominates all TV programs. Johnny de Mol also devotes extensive attention to it in his talk show HLF8. “The refugees are getting really high right now. It’s heading towards the million,” the presenter noted in yesterday’s broadcast.

‘I have another room!’

Fortunately, the refugees are welcomed with open arms in Europe, according to political reporter Sam Hagens. “People from Ukraine can travel freely in Europe and the cabinet says about it: ‘They are welcome here and we will receive them warmly.’”

Johnny: “People can also just offer themselves, huh, like: ‘I still have a room.’”

Sam teasing: “You, for example, Johnny.”

Garden shed

Johnny then seriously: “A garden house. Yes no yes, I will open my doors if I really have to. I mean, that’s the least you can do. That, of course, is so frustrating about this.”

Johnny’s garden shed was still busy during the corona crisis. At the beginning of the crisis, Johnny’s wife’s ex-partner moved into the gazebo so that their daughter wouldn’t have to commute. Later Johnny himself moved into the garden shed when he was infected with corona.
