Johnny de Mol unperturbed with HLF8, Fidan Ekiz cancels

Johnny de Mol started a new broadcasting week of HLF8 yesterday, after a week full of controversy about the leaked declaration of Shima Kaes. But where was Fidan Ekiz?

Although there is a report of serious assault and attempted manslaughter against Johnny de Mol, his father John de Mol does not want him off the TV. It arouses suspicion in many people, because it is common in similar cases. For example, his SBS 6 colleagues at Today Inside think that the presenter should disappear from the tube for the time being.

Where was Fidan?

Johnny doesn’t respond to that. He opened his new broadcast week yesterday with 346 thousand viewers (8% market share), while Chateau Bijstand scored 1 million viewers (19%) immediately afterwards. The previous program also scored a much higher market share with 464 thousand viewers (13%).

It is of course logical that all celebrities who still appear in the talk show HLF8 do not believe anything of the fierce declaration of his ex-fiancée Shima Kaes. It is all the more striking that Fidan Ekiz was not Johnny’s sidekick yesterday, as was announced Friday. She was replaced by Martijn Koning.

Remarkable, thinks columnist Jan Dijkgraaf. “Hey, Fidan has a beard and a money box,” he says. Maybe Fidan will come tonight? No, then handyman Hélène Hendriks will be at his side.

Radar on one

On to prime time: Radar and Spoorloos were the best viewed titles last night with both almost 1.4 million viewers (26 and 27%) on NPO 1. Chateau Bijstand was the most watched alternative; Today Inside attracted 783 thousand viewers (17%).

The other most watched prime time titles were RTL 4’s Deferral of Execution (705 thousand and 13%), NPO 2’s Nieuwsuur with 638 thousand viewers (13%) and NPO 3’s Hunted: Into the Wild with 523 thousand viewers (10%).
