John Perreira is doing well, who was operated on his heart on Wednesday at the Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven. The operation was broadcast live on Omroep Brabant. A day later, John is still in the hospital. He’s on painkillers, but feels fine.
“I have been in good hands, I have no pain at all,” says the Eindhoven resident in the Omroep Brabant program Brabant Today. “The operation went well, of course I didn’t notice anything.”
“It is very strange that the whole of Brabant looks into your body, I did it to show that you do not have to be afraid of open heart surgery and to pull patients over a possible threshold.” he likes to look back quickly.
He was apprehensive about the operation beforehand, but is glad he did it. “The doctor told me beforehand about the benefits of the operation and I thought, I give it a try. mBut I am very relieved that it is over. I’m looking forward to the rehab.”
