“John de Mol smells blood, wants to take Marieke Elsinga away from Qmusic”

According to Patrick Kicken, it is not convenient that Marieke Elsinga has revealed that she has talked to John de Mol. According to him, the intentions of the media billionaire are transparent.

Marieke Elsinga revealed on the radio that she had a conversation with John de Mol. She claims that it is not about a possible radio transfer – Marieke works at Qmusic and that is not part of Talpa – but that it is about some TV program. Nonsense, says the country’s most famous radio columnist Patrick Kicken.

Marieke to Talpa?

According to Patrick, it is obvious what John is trying to do with such a personal meeting. “Anyone who has ever had anything to do with De Mol knows, of course, that there is a much bigger plan behind this: trying to destroy the morning show of the country’s best-listened-to hit channel, just as Mattie & Wietze succeeded at the time.”

He writes in his Mouthpiece column: “The fact that John of course also has the plan to snatch her away for the afternoon of 538 or the morning of Sky by means of a thick TV contract is double fat. In this way, he also managed to hijack Gerard Ekdom at NPO Radio 2, for the morning of Talpa’s Radio 10.”

‘He smells blood’

According to the radio columnist, John is still frustrated that his former number one station, Radio 538, is experiencing such fierce competition from Qmusic. Even with Marieke on board, 538 will not find its way up. “But the biggest benefit is of course that Mattie then has to look again.”

After all, the successful radio duo Mattie & Marieke then falls apart. Does John have a chance? In any case, he strikes at a convenient moment, according to Patrick. “Now that RTL has let her down by canceling her like this at prime time, John smells blood. So he waves with a lot of promises from all kinds of shows, including a nice bag of money.”

Mary denies

According to the presenter herself, it is all absolute nonsense. As she herself said on the radio last week: “It’s not because I’m going to Talpa. John also makes television programs, doesn’t he?”
