On Friday Just life program celebrates the soloist of the band Kuumaa Johannes Brotherus days.
In the episode, the bass player of Brotherus talks about his friendship with his bandmates Aarni Soivio and the drummer Jonttu to Luhtavaara. He got to know Soivio when he was in elementary school, and Luhtavaara in high school.
– The whole band started from the fact that we need to be together and we like to make music, Johannes says in the episode.
– Friendship is the cornerstone of our story. They are my best friends, he adds.

The soloist does not deny that there have been challenging moments in the band’s journey. According to Brotherus, they have wanted to make sure that the band does not fall into communication challenges at least.
– We go to therapy together constantly. We’ve talked about not talking here and how toxic it can be for relationships. We have taken a proactive approach to it. I want to do that thing with them until the death, and we will learn everything from each other and develop interaction.

Later, Brotherus says that they started the band activity as a very young five-member ensemble in 2016. The number of members was reduced to the current trio during the years 2021 and 2022. Brotherus explains why the number of members decreased.
– We were really young when we started with five guys. It would be a miracle if no one’s interests had changed in these ten years. In agreement, we condensed into a trio. Live we have a wonderful one with us Okko Saastamoinen. He is a hybrid member, but he is like a dear little brother to us, the singer says.
