Johan Derksen understands that John de Mol has released the new program of Andy van der Meijde and Gordon. “I actually thought it was completely meaningless,” said the today Inside Snor.
After their meeting with Andy in the car and their subsequent job as Songfestival commentators, Andy van der Meijde and Gordon would also work as a television duo. They worked for SBS 6 on the reality show Lieve Gordon & Andy, but that program in which they would help people has been canceled by John de Mol himself.
Dubious duo
Completely justified, says Johan Derksen. “I think the combination is dubious and indeed: on social media he had quite nice numbers and De Mol wanted to try it as a TV program, but I thought Andy van der Meijde and Gordon really only nonsense. Hysterically laughing at each other,” he says in the podcast Greetings from Grolloo.
“I actually thought it was completely meaningless. I sometimes agree with that decision of Talpa and perhaps it would be useful for Talpa to look at a few other programs that are also eligible for replacement, because they often have programs that I think of: what is the goal and who do you do a pleasure with it?”
Madman
For example, Johan is referring to the all -rounder VIPS. “You have such a program where people have to do crazy things. They have to see how many clothes pegs they can put on their ear and so on, and then I always wonder: there are always crazy people in the Netherlands that sign up for TV programs where you stand for dick and damaged.”
He also didn’t like the soap from Gordon. And what about the Roelvinkjes? “Yes, I would not advertise with that if I were Videoland. The viewing figures have been halved, but you ask that if you bring the Roelvinkjes on TV. I know Dries, he is a very nice Amsterdammer, but we should not do one thing: we should not take him seriously.”
Vain
Dries Roelvink wants to come to the fore, so you can’t take such a person seriously in advance, says Johan. “Not as a singer, but also not as an opinion maker. It is mere vanity. Dries thinks that is great, but I find all those soaps unnecessary.”
He concludes: “I also do not understand that someone is doing a soap. I don’t have to think that I have a camera in my neck all day. I don’t find my life so fascinating that it is a TV series, but that certainly applies to all those other soaps too.”
