Johan Derksen finds it ridiculous what TV maker Jojanneke van den Berge has said about the Televizier win of Today Inside. “That’s just nonsense you’re spouting,” he shouts.
TV maker Jojanneke van den Berge thinks it is shameful that Today Inside won the Golden Televizier Ring. “It is painful that this program has been nominated at all,” the presenter said last week Good morning Netherlands. “A program in which misogyny and homophobia are displayed and normalized.”
Candle in woman
Jojanneke believes that the profit from the program further contributes to this. “We of course have the candle that penetrates an unconscious woman, as a joke. René van der Gijp’s comment about Ilse de Lange, whom he would like to be on the jury of The Voice because she can probably give blowjobs so well.”
She says she has spoken about this with Wilfred Genee. “He also finds that painful and difficult. He is in a split. You normalize this thinking. At a time when you see that violence against women is very prevalent and is a major problem, I find this difficult.”
Johan responds
Johan thinks that this Jojanneke is talking nonsense. “I was disturbed – I don’t know her – by a certain Jojanneke, I heard on the radio. That apparently is the wife of Thijs Zonneveld. That Jojanneke said that we should never have been nominated because we are homophobic and misogynistic.”
He continues in the podcast Greetings from Grolloo: “Then I think: Jojanneke, that’s just nonsense what you’re talking about, because just look at Raymond Mens, Victor Vlam, Albert Verlinde and Wouter de Winther. These are gays who function very well with us and I’ve never heard them complain and are unfriendly to women?”
Merel and Tina
VI is anything but misogynistic, according to Johan. “She should just ask Merel Ek, Hélène Hendriks and Noa. And also Tina Nijkamp. Because they also work excellently for us. Before she kept quiet about something like that, she should have called all the female employees who have been working with us for 25 years.”
He concludes: “Wieke from the make-up always says: ‘I am in all the programs, but nowhere do the gentlemen behave as well as in this program.’ We do not have a Goois mattress. I have been there for 27 years and have never experienced an incident of inappropriate or misogynistic behavior. Yes, we have a bit of blunt humor…”
