Johan Derksen responds at the table at Today Inside to the statements that Halina Reijn has made about him. “She shouldn’t lose sleep over the fact that I sometimes say something about someone here.”

Halina Reijn is currently achieving international success, but is nevertheless still very concerned with what exactly people in the Netherlands think of her. “You have to follow your heart, but there is also a child in me that can concern itself with the question of whether Johan Derksen likes me. I want to be honest about that again.”

Spoon-spoon

This uncertainty of Halina was touched upon last night in the year-end closing Today Inside. “Do you actually like Halina Reijn or not?” Wilfred Genee asks his colleague.

Johan then says: “Yes, I get a message in the dressing room that that lady is lying awake that I don’t like her and she also tells me that she hasn’t had sex in eight years. Maybe we should have an evening of spoon-spooning then.”

Good conversation

Wilfred thinks this is typical of Johan. “It is immediately true that with you everything is compensated with sex, actually. You can’t go for a good conversation?”

The mustached VI star then: “No. I’ve wasted so much time on that, on good conversations. No, no, no. But her name is Halina, right? I know that family from the past. I lived in Veendam for two years and that family lived in the extension of Veendam, in Wildervank. That was a hippie family, people looked at them a bit strangely.”

‘Act normal!’

Johan liked that hippie family. “It was quite a nice family, but in the province you look at it a bit strangely. They then left and that later became Halina Reijn. But then she sometimes came to De Wereld Draait Door or a program and she did the same thing that Mart Smeets did.”

“She came in and she performed an act, but Smeets always had an act. He was always Mart Smeets, because no one knows who Mart Smeets is, because that is an act. She did that too. Then she started making tea, but with an act as if it were making a pot of tea in a movie. I always found that so disturbing. Just act normal! Act normal!”

8 million people

It was ‘dripping off’, according to Johan. “I said something about her a few times, but other than that I have nothing against that girl. I’m very curious, I’m going to watch that film, because of the rave reviews. Maybe he’s a genius director. I want to see that.”

“As a Dutch and former fellow countrywoman, I wish her everything. She shouldn’t lose sleep over the fact that I sometimes say something about someone here, because I say that about 8 million people.”
