Johan Derksen attacks Ronald Molendijk after Glennis Grace lick

Johan Derksen finds it laughable that Ronald Molendijk uses every TV appearance to crawl into Glennis Grace’s derrière. “You can’t say it’s not that bad, can you?”

In addition to Jeroen Rietbergen, Ronald Molendijk has another celebrity friend who is in the news because of misconduct: Glennis Grace. He seizes just about every TV appearance to jump in the gap for the singer. For example, he expressed the expectation in HLF8 on Thursday that the whole of the Netherlands will soon be singing along with her again.

Bad comparison

The misconduct of Glennis is downplayed by Ronald. “Worse things have happened at The Rolling Stones. At The Stones, people are simply stabbed to death in front of the stage. They hired them themselves. And a few years later the entire Amsterdam Arena is singing along”, he shouted at the table at HLF8.

Johan Derksen thinks this is a very bad comparison, he responds in Today Inside. “This comparison doesn’t quite work, does it? There have been Hell’s Angels who have indeed misbehaved in front of the stage.”

Hell’s Angels

What exactly is Ronald talking about? Host Wilfred Genee: “I just looked it up. It’s about December 6, 1966 in California. Then they couldn’t get hold of security and Hell’s Angels set themselves up for that.”

Johan: “There was a boy who drew a gun. That wasn’t loaded, but you shouldn’t pull a gun against a Hell’s Angel.”

Wilfred: “The gist, of course, is not that the Rolling Stones hired people to stab people.”

Apples with pears

Ronald is just looking for ways to justify Glennis’ behaviour, says Johan. “It’s comparing apples to oranges. It makes no sense at all. Look, you can’t say one day after you’ve had Glennis Grace in all the media with what she’s done, that it wasn’t that bad? Because it’s your girlfriend!”

He continues: “Ronald acts as if much crazier things have happened. Yes, it could be even crazier, but in the Netherlands we think it’s crazy enough when a pseudo-singer imitating an American singer rolls through the supermarket fighting. We find that strange.”

‘Slap on the buttocks’

Hélène Hendriks understands that Ronald continues to stand behind Glennis. “Well, I understand… If my girlfriend did something like that, I wouldn’t approve of it, but I would always support her.”

Johan: “That’s something different than going out, because she really deserves a few slaps on the buttocks, doesn’t it, that Glennis. Volunteers in the room?”
