Joe Biden and Donald Trump were concerned about Charles’ serious illness

Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer.

The cancer had been diagnosed in connection with the treatment of King Charles’s enlarged prostate. The palace clarified that it is not prostate cancer. Cancer treatments have already started.

The British government and other heads of state immediately showed their support to the cancer-stricken king.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak immediately took a stand on the unpleasant news.

– I wish his majesty a speedy recovery. I have no doubt that he would be back to full strength in no time. I know the whole country wishes him nothing but good things, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wrote immediately after the news.

Also the President of the United States Joe Biden has commented on the diagnosis. Biden says he’s worried about Charles and plans to call the king in the coming days.

Ex-president Donald Trump wrote laudatory comments about Charles on Truth Social.

– King Charles is a wonderful man who I got to know well during my presidency. Let’s pray for her speedy and full recovery, Trump wrote.

UK opposition leader Keir Starmer also showed his support for Charles.

– On behalf of the Labor Party, I wish his majesty all the best for his recovery. Hopefully we’ll see him back soon, healthy and well, Starmer wished.

British ex-prime minister Boris Johnson had also heard the unpleasant news.

– The whole country supports the king today. All the best to Charles and a full, speedy recovery to the King, Johnson writes.

Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf prays for the King.

– My thoughts and prayers are with the king. I wish him all the best, a speedy recovery and a return to public life, Yousaf says.

– My thoughts are also with the queen and other members of the royal family. This is worrying for all of them, he continues.

Prime Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford says he is sad that the king is facing health challenges again.

“My thoughts and those of the people of Wales are with the King and his family tonight. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Prime Minister of Northern Ireland Michelle O’Neill also wishes for a speedy recovery. The news came just two days after Michelle O’Neill became Prime Minister.
