Kai Havertz fails with a thigh injury until the end of the season. National coach Nagelsmann also has to plan without the 25-year-old.

What had already been reported by individual media on Wednesday is now a reality: Kai Havertz will no longer be used this season. The 25-year-old international suffered a thigh injury during training in Dubai last week, as the club from London confirmed. The attacker is to be operated on in the coming days.

Shortly after the procedure, Havertz will begin with his rehabilitation. According to the club announcement, the rehabilitation program should last until the season preparation for the coming season.

The failure also means a setback for national coach Julian Nagelsmann. “The news of the injury is very bitter and a bitter loss for us as a team,” said the national coach. At the same time, he wished Havertz all the best for the operation and assured: “We will be there for him and always support him on his way back to the square.”

The failure of Havertz is also a difficult blow for FC Arsenal. With nine goals, the German international is the best scorer of the Londoners, who are currently in second place on the Premier League table-seven points behind leaders FC Liverpool.
