The 25-year-old international suffered a thigh injury during training in Dubai last week, as the club from London confirmed. The attacker is to be operated on in the coming days.
Shortly after the procedure, Havertz will begin with his rehabilitation. According to the club announcement, the rehabilitation program should last until the season preparation for the coming season.
The failure also means a setback for national coach Julian Nagelsmann. “The news of the injury is very bitter and a bitter loss for us as a team,” said the national coach. At the same time, he wished Havertz all the best for the operation and assured: “We will be there for him and always support him on his way back to the square.”
