Jil Sander goes among the jewelers.
The luxury fashion brand, which is part of the OTB Group, is launching a jewelry collection, Jil Sander announced on Wednesday. The brand is the first within the OTB Group to enter this category.
The Jil Sander Fine Jewelry is intended to be another important development in the overall brand positioning, underlining Jil Sander’s lifestyle appeal. Part of this strategy is also the introduction of a fragrance for January 2025. The collection will make its first appearance in the newly opened Make flagship in Tokyo, before it will also be introduced in other Jil Sander stores next year.
Visually, the line combines natural inspirations such as botany, water and cosmos with the latest manufacturing technology and traditional craftsmanship. Light and lightness characterize the designs, which are made from 18-carat gold and laboratory-grown diamonds.
The pieces are created using an innovative lost wax casting process that relies on 3D printing and precise machines. This technology enables resource-saving production without waste. Hand-polished surfaces that are deliberately irregular or high-gloss emphasize the organic shapes of the collection. The diamonds are individually set by hand and arranged irregularly to emphasize uniqueness.
The collection includes different series: the “Branch” pieces combine natural shapes with technical precision, while the “Astral” series plays with flat chains and subtle pendants. The “Drop” designs rely on reduced, sculptural shapes with craftsmanship.
