“Entertainment has become very important,” says sports promoter Lee van Dam, who has been the man behind the Racing Days on the TT Circuit for many years. “You can see all the races on television, you don’t necessarily have to go to the TT track for that. You have to reach the audience through entertainment. trigger to come to the track.”

“Young people want to take a picture with drivers or want an autograph and they can then show it to their friends,” Van Dam continues. He also sees this on his own Jack’s Racing Day. “Whole families come there, but for them the racing competitions are becoming less and less important. That F16 in the pits where you can sit for a while, that’s interesting.”
