Jesse Pynnönen tore up 202.5 kilos of iron with one hand

Last weekend, the Finnish Powerlifting Association started this year’s competition events at Paujulahti Sports College.

In Pajulahti, the program included the Finnish Championships in one-handed lifting, the strongest man / woman competitions of the low threshold, and pole dancing hobby competitions.

The hardest performance of the weekend was the responsibility of Heinola Jesse Pynnönen, which pulled 202.5 pounds of new SE irons in the one-handed take-off. Pynnönen competed in the men’s + 100kg series.

The Finnish record was also set Aino Askala and Saija Kantola.

N-65kg: Aino Askala 110kg (SE)

N75 + / Masters: Saija Kantola 122.5kg (SE)

M-85: Tomi Kesti 160kg

M-100kg: Vesa Rouvali 190kg

M100 +: Jesse Pynnönen 202.5 kg (SE)

M-Masters: Jouni Mähönen 180kg

In 2015, the Powerlifting Association launched the first strongest sport competition in the world under the WADA-level anti-doping program. The association is both under the supervision of SUEK and a member of the Finnish Olympic Committee.
