Puljujärvi survived the situation without punishment.

Jesse Puljujärvi’s tackle received a blunt verdict from the opponent’s camp. PDO

Jesse Puljujärvi tackled the opponent in such a way that Switzerland is now buzzing about it.

The situation happened on Saturday in the semi-final opening of the Swiss league, where Geneve-Servette, represented by Puljujärvi, lost to Friborg 1–3. In the third set, Puljujärvi defeated Fribourg Maximilian Streaulen to the end.

Streule was injured, which made Fribourg’s head coach worried. At the same time the Friborg pilot Roger Rönnberg condemned Puljujärvi’s act.

– It was a clear five-minute penalty. It was a head tackle on the wing. The judges should have watched the situation on video. Puljujärvi should be suspended for his tackle, Rönnberg said for Blick.

Puljujärvi was not punished for the situation.

In Rönnberg’s opinion, the judges were not aware of the situation anyway.

– Both teams missed the break without blowing the whistle. You can’t miss five or six clear cuts.

Blick’s article stated that Puljujärvi also tackled Friborg Juuso Arola over the edge and got through that too without freezing. In addition, he succeeded in scoring.
