Top model Jerry Hall66, has filed for divorce from her husband, media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 91, reports the BBC.
According to the BBC, the divorce petition has been filed in a court in California, USA. The divorce is Murdoch’s fourth.
Hall and Murdoch married in 2016. According to the divorce filing, the couple have “irreconcilable differences.”
Hall has asked Murdoch for alimony after the divorce.
The couple’s divorce was rumored earlier in June, when an anonymous source revealed the divorce intentions to The New York Times.
The newspaper reported at the time that the divorce would probably not affect the ownership of Murdoch’s media empire. According to the magazine, however, the divorce could be reflected in Fox News and The Wall Street Journal, among others.
Murdoch owns several international media houses such as Fox News, Britain’s The Sun and Australia’s Sky News.
In the first years of the marriage, Murdoch was said to devote himself more to his wife and leave room for his children, who in time inherited Murdoch’s media companies.
