Thick gloves were not an unnecessary luxury in this weather, but for Jeroen van der Linden they are indispensable today. “It’s really cold. And you don’t want your hands to break,” he laughs.

Jeroen walks a kilometer on his hands to draw attention to the mental health of young people. He is a break dancer and works a lot with young people where these problems are commonplace. “I notice that all those outside influences, such as social media, make it difficult for young people. That is why there is a lot of uncertainty.”

Today’s one kilometer is just the beginning for Jeroen. He hopes to run 7.5 kilometers in March. He wants to raise money for the MIND Foundation, a foundation that is committed to mental health.
