Jeroen Snel, the royalty connoisseur of RTL Boulevard, thinks it is a ‘borderline case’ that Countess Eloise appeared in a bathing suit in the TV hit Het Perfecte Plaatje. “This is really the limit.”
Countess Eloise, the king’s niece, is unleashing tongues with her appearance in the TV program Het Perfecte Plaatje on RTL 4. She appeared on Wednesday evening’s broadcast in a bathing suit for a Baywatch-esque shoot, initiated by fellow candidate Rick Brandsteder . “A la Pamela Anderson”, says Angela de Jong in her AD column.
Borderline case
Angela was quite surprised that Eloise ‘displays her lavish bombonellas’. She wonders how grandmother Beatrix looked at this. “In a few weeks we will have the traditional nude shoot. I just hope grandma doesn’t choke on her tea then,” writes the opinion diva.
According to royalty connoisseur Jeroen Snel, this is going a bit far. He says in the RTL Boulevard from yesterday evening: “I think it’s a borderline case. The edge is sought after. Angela de Jong writes that Beatrix choked on the tea when she put on the bathing suit and then showed her generous bombonellas. I understand her very well.”
‘It’s the limit’
Jeroen thinks that a member of the royal family should adopt a different attitude. “Of course she is quite famous, she feels like a star and she really enjoys participating in that program, but yes… It is someone who is a member of the royal family. Her uncle is the king. It’s the limit.”
Countess Eloise does not receive an allowance from the royal family and in that sense can she do what she wants? “Yes, no, that’s right, only you can do a lot of things. She’s been busy, for a long time, but this is the limit. I mean it’s not necessary and she doesn’t need it. As far as I’m concerned, she shouldn’t have done it.”
Alexia dance
The daughters of the king should never be allowed to do this, says Jeroen. “If she had been the daughter of Willem-Alexander and Máxima, it would have been completely one no go been. For example, Alexia once danced to quite a sexy song on TikTok and that has been removed. Then Máxima admonished her.”
Top photographer William Rutten, jury member in Het Perfecte Plaatje, thinks the fuss is a bit lame: “I think the fuss about a royal in a bathing suit a bit exaggerated, though. It’s just a nice, young Dutch girl who went for her goal. I don’t really understand all this fuss. We do see more people in bathing suits, don’t we?”
