The federal and Flemish government do not agree on Israel. A gap yawns between left and right parties. With the voter, that fault line is less clear. Surveys, including from HLN, show that three -quarters of the population believe that Israel is committing a genocide and that there should be sanctions. That majority is so great that there are certainly right -wing voters in between. But the only right-wing politician who radically condemns Israel is Jean-Marie Dedecker. “A country like ours cannot tolerate what happens there.”
