Javelin man Curtis Thompson as a surprise contender for the World Championships

The javelin thrower who made it to the upcoming World Championships in Athletics with ranking points Curtis Thompson achieved a strong javelin result in his home country just before the prestigious competition.

The 26-year-old Thompson threw 87.70 at the American JavFest, a personal record and the third-best American mark ever in the javelin. In the comparison of the top results of the season, the Yankees finished seventh.

Thompson, who missed the Tokyo Olympics, has previously thrown his best 82.88. This season’s best is also over twenty, 81.73.
