The mayor of the PSC and still first deputy mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, marked this Thursday a marin a month before the return in style of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) after the pandemic. As the mayoress of l’Hospitalet didthe also socialist Núria Marín, in 2015, the Barcelonan has honored the general director of GSMA -the entity that organizes the MWC- with a personalized route and a meal with picturesque airs.

As EL PERIODICO has learned, Collboni and Hoffman shared a couple of hours this afternoon in Nou Barris. At half past six have visited the Technological Park together that the consistory has in the district, known for housing the digital outreach center cibernarium of Barcelona Activa. This facility offers advice to entrepreneurs and training capsules of all levels, from ICT literacy to management of advanced software. It also houses a digital fabrication athenaeum and a programming campus. Its location in one of the lowest income districts of the city seeks to combat the digital divide directly on the ground.
After the visit, both have briefly walked through Nou Barris to go on foot to one of the most popular tapas bars in the area, La Esquinica. An emblematic enclave for many Barcelonans but where it is still exotic for Hoffman to dine, despite his well-known attachment to the city. Furthermore, it so happens that the dinner with the head of the technological employers’ association occurs precisely on the eve of the Socialist’s resignation as councilor and deputy mayor to concentrate on the electoral race.
