Jasper Philipsen wins second stage in Baloise Belgium Tour

After 175.6 kilometers from Beveren to Knokke-Heist, the 24-year-old sprinter from Alpecin-Fenix ​​on the Wandelaar was the fastest of the peloton. The Dutchman Danny van Poppel came in second. The Dane Mads Pedersen, winner of the opening stage on Wednesday, came in third. Arnaud De Lie and Sascha Weemaes completed the top five.

Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo) retained the leader’s red jersey. Philipsen is second at six seconds, Tim Wellens third at twelve seconds. Philipsen booked his fourth win of the season, after two stages in the UAE Tour (WT) and one in the Tour of Turkey.
