Tappara, TPS and HIFK, the Jokerit Mestis Society and the Ice Hockey Players’ Association, which will map the future series system.
The study is based on the main owners of these clubs, including Ilkka Paananen and Mikko Kodisoja, who has been wealthy through the Supercell game company, and Zabludowicz, a businessman and major investor in Tampere.
Jarmo Kekäläinen, who has worked in various NHL organizations for years, has been hired as the author of the study.
– I will do as constructive research as possible, which will hopefully help with the league’s own strategy work. If necessary, I am also critical, Kekäläinen tells Iltalehti.
At the same time, the league is doing its own strategy work, which will certainly include mapping of future series models. So, in a way, they do overlapping work.
– The league is aware of this, Kekäläinen says briefly.
