Jari-Matti Latvala The active career ended years ago. However, Latvala, a Toyota team manager, has not been able to stay out of the place where he has said he was happiest – between the seat and the wheel.

Latvala has driven one of its map readers this season Janni Hussin With the Historic Class EM Series and the Finnish World Rally, he was seen in the WRC2 class in the Toyota Rally2 car.

Latvala has succeeded in showing that he still has enough speed. In 2027, the rules of the World Series will change and the cars of the main category will be significantly exported towards existing Rally2 cars.

This, of course, highlights the speculation that Latvala could compete more on the World Series side.

“I always interest me and I like driving,” Latvala said.

-But touring the World Series throughout the season is quite a raw job. It should be ready for it, and I’m no longer sure about myself that I would be there anymore, Latvala continued.

However, Latvala left the door opened that he could really be seen even more regularly on the World Series side.

-There are seven races in the WRC2 class and it would still be Jesus. But 14 races are already quite drastic, Latvala wondered.

Milestone

This summer, Latvala achieved a fierce milestone when he participated in the Finnish World Championship for the 20th time.

At the same time, he was able to celebrate the age of 40. However, this too is not enough for him.

– Immediately I had to start negotiations with the big master. The 41th anniversary race can no longer be justified, but next year you should still be able to drive as the victory was now so close. For two years I have been second now, so now I should be able to drive once again, Latvala laughed.
