The performance of Özcan Akyol in Zomergasten yielded considerable criticism last weekend. Many viewers found it shocking that he did not show a shred of repentance about his role in the Matthijs van Nieuwkerk-Gate, including one of his employers: Jan Slagter. “It seems blvd!”
It was clearly bothering that Zomergasten presenter Griet Op de Beeck dared to question him at all about his former bosom friend Matthijs. Instead of responding to the case, he snarled that it was very much like RTL Boulevard, a remark that made the eyebrows frowned with many critics.
Private boss Evert Santegoeds in Shownieuws: “He had every chance to come back to that and let his light shine over it, but he didn’t feel like it at all.
