After a period of substantial criticism of the high VPRO content in his new RTL 4 show, Arjen Lubach seems to be substantially adjusting. Whether he does that on his own initiative or on instructions by Peter van der Vorst, the fact is that he suddenly aims very much for lower culture. After the visit of Maan de Steenwinkel, he now flirts with Jim Bakkum and Jan Kooijman.
Romcom king
Jim was renamed RTL Boulevard during a trivial item of RTL Boulevard because he has already played in many romantic comedies, and Arjen Lubach has made a lot of item about fifteen minutes (!). His helpje Tex de Wit has taken up the challenge to improve the record of romantic comedies.
Tex has recorded countless short romcoms and in one of them former GTST star Jan Kooijman plays the leading role. We see Jan and Tex bumping into each other during a walk outside. “Oh, sorry!”
A bit in the way
Jan and Tex keep bumping into each other. “I think we’re a bit in the way!”, Jan shouts.
Tex Romantic: “Let’s head the same way. Forever.”
Then we see Jan and Tex walking hand in hand. “Are you not Jan Kooijman, from in love with Ibiza?”
Jan then: “Yes, too. But from now on I am Jan Kooijman from Tex de Wit.”
Kiss
Jan grabs Tex and starts tongues. If they walk away, Jan asks Tex: “Do you love N ** know?”
Arjen enjoys it very much in the studio: “This is great! Keep on coming, keep on coming!”
At the end of the broadcast, Jim comes into the studio to crown Tex to the new Romcom Koning in the Netherlands. Is Arjen struggling to higher market shares? No, says Tina Nijkamp: “Lubach scores a little lower than Monday, especially in 25-54 years, the decrease is noticeable (10 points less): 681 thousand viewers and 22.6 percent.”
