Jan de Jonge is now moving to Lebanon and succeeds Johnny Jansen at Safa FC

Safa FC fishes in the same pond after the departure of Johnny Jansen. Jan de Jonge will be his successor in Beirut.

The Emmenaar, former player and trainer of FC Emmen, signs a contract with the club from Lebanon until the end of this season. Safa FC had to look for a new trainer in a hurry in recent days, because Jansen signs a contract with PEC Zwolle.

The 60-year-old De Jonge was the trainer of Harkemase Boys last season. He guided that club from the relegation zone to a safe thirteenth place in the third division. De Jonge still had a contract for one year in Harkema, but club and trainer recently decided to end the collaboration. De Jonge’s ambitions did not match those of Harkemase Boys. Now De Jonge, who previously coached SC Heerenveen, De Graafschap and Heracles, returns to professional football.
