Jamie Foxx celebrated his 57th birthday on December 13th with his inner circle. But his holiday dinner at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, went differently than expected – in addition to hugs from friends and family, there was also grousing and a glass attack from the next table.
First insults, then throwing attacks
“TMZ” reported the incident. They were also able to locate a witness who said: “Guests at another table were rude and vulgar to Jamie and he asked them to stop as his family was present. Then apparently someone at that table threw the glass, which hit him in the face.”
The attack left a wound on Foxx’s mouth, which also required stitches, according to CBS. Due to the attack, the police were contacted at the restaurant and they arrived shortly after 10 p.m. local time. According to officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department, no arrest was made. It is not known what exactly the other restaurant visitors said to Foxx and why they did it.
It is also unclear whether Jamie Foxx has filed a complaint. However, the actor spoke out about the attack via Instagram.
Part of his statement: “The devil is a lie. I can’t win here…Thank you to everyone who prays for me and checks on me…When your light shines bright…they try to take you into the darkness…but they don’t know that’s what you were built for…the lights shine bright …”
