James Bond: There could be two new agents, one of them Paul Mescal

According to rumors, there will be a younger and an older 007 agent in the future.

Who is the next James Bond? Replacing the cult role is a big topic, especially in Great Britain. After Daniel Craig’s death in the film, there have been repeated rumors that those responsible for the 007 series could cast two new actors for the part.

The British tabloid “The Sun” suspects that a younger and an older Bond will appear. The Irishman Paul Mescal (“Normal People”, “Aftersun”) should be considered for the young secret agent. However, the newspaper did not name exact sources that confirmed this.

Speculation is still completely open

The producers did not comment on the rumors. According to The Sun, Barbara Broccoli said through a spokesperson: “We do not participate in speculation. And who could take on the second potential role is still completely open.”

Mescal was approached about a possible Bond lead role back in 2020. In an interview with The Sun he said: “Would I play Bond? I don’t know it. If it ever affects me, we will discuss it.”
