Jake Paul, Ice-T and Gene Simmons defend Mike Tyson after his beating video

Jake Paul, Ice-T and Gene Simmons support Mike Tyson. A video had previously surfaced showing the former world boxing champion beating up a passenger who appeared to be abusing him. The ex-champ turned to fellow passenger – and seated behind him – Melvin Townsend and punched him in the face.

After the incident, some celebrities took to their Twitter accounts to defend Tyson’s behavior. Pro boxer and influencer Jake Paul: “If you get insulted in public like Mike Tyson, you should legally get a pass to spank someone.” Of the troll passenger, he says: “This generation thinks they get away with anything.”

Gene Simmons and Ice-T have a similar view

Gene Simmons echoed Paul’s sentiments, tweeting, “Agreed!” Ice-T also shared his thoughts on the matter. He called Townsend a clown who forgot that he wasn’t behind his keyboard – in other words, apparently felt too safe, but in harsh reality has now received the reward for disrespectful behavior.

In another tweet, the rapper-actor said he would be in a much worse situation himself if his online critics dared to harass him personally: “If idiots would say the kind of shit they’re telling me here Saying it face to face… I know I would be in jail.”

Tyson attacked rowdy passenger

On April 22, celebrity news outlet TMZ released a cellphone video showing Mike Tyson punching Melvin Townsend, who was sitting behind him. The fellow passenger had previously teased Tyson repeatedly. Tyson ignored the man’s provocations for a while before finally freaking out. Townsend hired a lawyer after the incident, according to TMZ. The lawyer put his client’s behavior into perspective as that of an excited fan. Tyson’s reps said Townsend was aggressive towards the boxer. In addition, Townsend not only verbally abused him, but also threw a water bottle at him.
