Third division autumn champions SSV Jahn Regensburg have signed Erik Tallig, who was currently without a club. As the club announced on Saturday, the 23-year-old offensive player has been in training since December on a trial basis and has now signed a contract until the end of the season.
“With Erik we are gaining a agile and technically adept player for our offense who has a certain ability to make decisions on the ball. It is up to Erik to bring these skills to our team every day. Despite being only 23 years old, he already brings third division experience with him to Regensburg. In addition, Erik’s personality fits well with SSV Jahn and he has already been able to integrate into the team as a trial player in the past few weeks. “I am therefore very pleased that he has decided on Jahn and wants to help shape our future path,” said managing director Achim Beierlorzer, commenting on the commitment.

Tallig played for TSV 1860 Munich for three years until last season, and before that he was also active for Chemnitzer FC in the 3rd league. The attacker said: “I haven’t had an easy time recently, which is why I’m even happier to have found a very good club here at SSV Jahn that suits me well. Right from the start I got to know a friendly team and I quickly felt at home as a trial player at Jahn and him Regensburg. I will now do everything I can to get back in top shape and help the team with my qualities so that we can continue to have success in the 3rd league.”
