J-Hope (BTS) announces first solo project | show

J-Hope, prominent member of the successful Korean boy band BTS, has announced his first solo project. Under the name Jack In The Box, the pop star will release an album and a single in July, media in South Korea reported.

The single, whose title has not yet been announced, will see the light of day on July 1. The album will be released mid-month. According to Weverse, the platform for fans of K-pop, J-Hope wants to grow further as an artist and he wants to shape that ambition with the project.

J-Hope also posted the announcement of his project on his Instagram. He kept it simple with a stylish video in which he reveals the title of his solo project.

BTS announced earlier this year that the members of the band will focus on solo projects for the foreseeable future. Big Hit Entertainment, the company behind the band, has devised a special procedure for this. J-Hope is the first to present his solo project. Then the other eight members of the group follow.
