Frits Wester’s patience is running out when it comes to his close acquaintance Marco Borsato. The RTL journalist thinks it will take a long time before there is clarity about the report against him.
In the talk show HLF8, which was watched by 289 thousand people (6 percent market share) yesterday, Frits Wester expressed his annoyance about how long the Marco Borsato issue has been going on. According to the RTL journalist, it is really time to make a decision about his prosecution.
‘Takes too long’
It goes too far, says Frits. “I know his brother, I know his mother. From Alkmaar of course. I also know Marco well. Those are huggers. I don’t know exactly what happened, but that such a case takes a year and a half and that the Public Prosecution Service has to do even more investigation and it just goes on and on…”
He continues: “Meanwhile, his career is going to hell, but that also applies to other things. Richard de Mos also takes much too long. Three and a half years! It really takes too long.”
Cuddly bear
Fellow guest John van Zweden is also annoyed by it. “That boy’s whole career and everything is screwed up, but when I see Marco Borsato, I see a handsome guy, has money, a beautiful woman, has everything… People get jealous. If you touch him, they immediately think that there is a lot going on.”
He continues: “Marco is a cuddly bear, I’m not saying nothing happened, but I’m not saying anything happened either.”
Rutger Castricum: “You would like some clarity now.”
Little attention
HLF8 was again the least watched talk show in the Netherlands yesterday. The most watched talk show of the evening was Today Inside with 780,000 viewers (16 percent) on SBS 6. Only followed by Khalid & Sophie (669,000), Jinek (638,000) and Op1 (589,000).
