Just that current is one of the greatest risks for Zeezwemmers. Especially children from the interior, who get few swimming lessons, can get into trouble quickly. The Swim-Safe camp not only wants to teach them swimming techniques, but also learn how to recognize dangers.
“At Swim-Safe we teach children how to respond when they get into trouble, but also how they can help others,” explains Frederique. “And if things go wrong, we teach them correctly resuscitating.”
