It’s going to snow with slipperiness as a result ANP

It is late March and snow is on the way. The KNMI has issued code yellow for almost all of the Netherlands from the afternoon and evening due to the risk of slippery conditions due to the winter showers. The warning code will remain in effect until Friday afternoon.

The weather institute reports that it will start raining from the northwest on Thursday and that the precipitation will expand across the country. The rain then turns into wet snow. “Later in the afternoon and in the evening the snow will remain in more and more places, resulting in local slippery conditions,” according to the KNMI.

Also in the night to Friday it will snow in a large part of the country and in some places a layer of a few centimeters can remain. The smoothness will disappear again on Friday afternoon.

Rijkswaterstaat is still on standby to hit the road for spreading. The slippery season officially runs until May 1, let the organization know.
