It will most certainly snow in Brabant on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, experts say. But the world will not turn white everywhere in the province, our weatherman expects: “The situation in the west is very different this time than in the east.”

The question is not whether it will snow tonight and tomorrow morning, but for how long, says weatherman Johnny Willemsen of Weerplaza. “It is dry during the day today and it will start to rain tonight. That precipitation turns into wet snow during the evening, especially in the east,” says Willemsen.

Rain will probably fall in the west. “It will snow most in the southeast. The further westerly the province, the smaller the chance of snow tonight and tomorrow morning. So bad luck for those who like snow in the west.”

“It will be down to 5 degrees in the afternoon, so the snow will be gone immediately.”

According to the weatherman, the snowfall in the east of the province will continue on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. “Certainly in the southeast there is a good chance that it will turn white. There is certainly a chance that it will remain white for a while, perhaps even longer than was the case on Sunday morning.”

There is still a chance of a winter shower and therefore snow in the southeast on Thursday afternoon, but the snow will not stay there. “It can be as high as 5 degrees in the afternoon, so the snow is gone immediately.”
