After weeks of sunny spring weather, this week is going up a notch and it will be downright summery. Get out the shorts: it’s going to be 25 degrees.
The day after King’s Day starts with high cloud fields, but it soon clears from the north throughout the country.
With lots of sunshine, the temperature will rise to 15 degrees in the north of North Holland and to 18 to 20 degrees in the center and south of the country on Tuesday. On the Wadden Islands it remains on the chilly side with a maximum of 13 degrees. Furthermore, a mainly moderate to sometimes quite strong east to northeasterly wind blows with wind force 5.
Also pleasant on the beach
From Wednesday we will see almost no clouds at all for a few days. It will then be 16 degrees in the north and 20 or 21 degrees in other places in the country. The wind is offshore, so it is also quite warm on the beaches on our west coast, Weeronline predicts.
Thursday will be a little warmer: about 22 degrees. Friday will be the warmest day. In large parts of the country, temperatures rise to 25 degrees. “And it might even get warmer,” say the meteorologists at Weeronline.
Lubricate
‘Beautiful days to go outside. But make sure you apply sunscreen, because with a sun power of 4 you can burn within 20 to 40 minutes without sunscreen,” is the advice.
The weather forecast is uncertain from the weekend onwards. The stable weather then seems to make way for changeable weather with regular showers possible.
These are the levels of solar power according to the KNMI:
1-2virtually no sun power: there is hardly any risk of skin damage from the sun
3-4moderate sun intensity: there is a risk of skin damage from the sun – protect your skin and eyes
5-6strong sun power: there is a high risk of skin damage from the sun – protect your skin and eyes
7 and highervery strong sun power: there is a very high risk of skin damage from the sun – protect your skin and eyes
