Italian seaside resort buys Mussolini’s summer villa for 1.2 million euros: “Riccione does not repress its complex past”

More than 80 years after the death of the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini (1883-1945), his summer residence has been sold. The Villa Mussolini on the boulevard of the seaside resort of Riccione, on the Adriatic Sea, is now owned by that municipality. According to Mayor Daniela Angelini, the purchase price was 1.2 million euros.
