On Monday, a climate activist mocked a cyclist who had an accident and whose recovery was delayed due to an adhesive action. A comment from BZ editor Boris Dombrowski.
A woman is fighting for her life. Stuck under a cement mixer. Your pain must be unimaginable. Every minute counts. But the rescue is delayed. Because the alerted emergency services cannot get through with special equipment. They were slowed down – by asphalt activists, who blocked Berlin’s traffic again on Monday with their adhesive actions.
The woman is in mortal danger.
“Shit, but don’t be intimidated. It’s a climate fight, not a climate hug, & shit happens,” commented a climate fighter on Twitter about the dramatic events. It really doesn’t get any more deviant and inhuman!
Demos and rallies rightly have their place in democracy. But the Pattex protests have nothing to do with that anymore.
It was not the first time on Monday that rescue vehicles had to be stuck in traffic because of them. But despite all the public warnings and criticism, the climate chaotic people have kept going. Knowing that in the worst case they risk human lives with their actions.
There is no justification for that! The rule of law must now finally and consistently take action and stop this danger to the general public.
