Last week it was very cloudy in the Netherlands. It was so dark that no sun was measured in De Bilt for eight days in a row. The fact that the sun does not show itself for so long is quite exceptional.
More clouds will move this way later today. However, the sun remains occasionally visible in several places this afternoon. It remains dry and the temperature remains mild, with a moderate wind.
Drizzle and rain
There will be some occasional rain next night, due to a low pressure area moving this way from Spain. This will also be noticeable tomorrow: there will be rain or drizzle in many places. Temperatures continue to rise to 12 degrees.
The rain will increase on Thursday and the mild air will make way for slightly less mild temperatures. It won’t be really cold, says NH weatherman Jan Visser. Temperatures remain around 6 degrees.
