Sepsis is a fatal condition that too often goes under the radar. A recent Swedish study shows that sepsis is much more common in hospitalized patients than initially thought. There are also calls for greater awareness of this dangerous condition in Belgium, says emergency physician and sepsis specialist Ken Dewitte.
