Lauri Markkanen represented by the Utah Jazz lost for the fifth time in a row in basketball in the NBA. Charlotte Hornets were better 115-107 Finnish time in the match played early on Friday morning.
The Jazz have won only two of their last ten games and the playoffs will likely remain a dream again.
The loss against the Hornets was also painful in the sense that the Hornets are ranked 13/15 in the Eastern Conference. On the other hand, the Hornets were boosted by the moves made at the threshold of the transfer deadline and are now on a four-game winning streak.
Markkanen led his troops in the match against the Hornets. The Finn got the most playing time from his team and bagged 21 points. The Finn grabbed nine rebounds.
However, the Finn is in a hopeless situation, as the Jazz traded away their important players at the beginning of February.
Against the Hornets, Markkanen was accompanied on the field by several rookie players, such as From Taylor Hendricks and About Keyonte Georgewho made it to the opening five.
In addition Brice Sensabaugh played his first viable NBA minutes. Although Sensabaugh managed to score seven points in a small amount of playing time (12:38) and received praise from the Jazz on social media, playing inexperienced players does not raise the team’s stock for the rest of the season.
It is clear to many that the Jazz have thrown down the gloves for this season and are focusing on building a foundation for the future.
