Sagit Emet, an Israeli children’s author, has written an open letter to the more than 200 Israeli citizens kidnapped by Hamas. In her compelling speech, Emet focuses on one of the youngest hostages, nine-month-old Kfir Bibs. “I have to believe that you are caring for this child like the daughter of a pharaoh, like the mother that you are. I have to believe that you lean over him, let him crawl into your lap, that you spend hours with him.”
